WEW Online’s Writing A Sex Scene Workshop
Wide Eyed Workshops is currently holding an online workshop for writing good sex scenes. For those interested, join the forum at wewonline.bravehost.com/ then follow the directions for the online workshops. I’m still deciding on whether to join the sex scenes writing or not. I’m not sure if I can do the following exercises:
1) Place your characters in any of the following scenarios: weddingnight, first time(e.g. first sexual experience, first orgasm, etc.) a bad sexual experience.
Or
Write a sex scene that includes dialogue. Then write a sex scene without.2) Write an explicit sex scene. Then write a subtle sex scene.
Or
Incorporate a change in environment within your scene (e.g. from the elevator to the parking lot)
Or
Write a sex scene that takes place in a bedroom. Then write the same sex scene if it were to occur in another place (e.g. hotel room, park, while on vacation).3) Write an unsexy sex scene.
I have to do some thinking about this.
Side note:

Thanks for the plug :-) JOIN US! No pressure :-) You don’t have to do all of the exercises, just pick the one you’re most comfortable with. It’s a pretty low key and supportive group.
I’ve never done sex scene writing before so I want to try it. I’m still thinking of ways how to steam things up :)
