Another boring monday

What a dreary day. A dreary day which only a good looking Irish boy can spice up. I swear, Irish men are so hot and I guess you can say that I’m looking for one. So if you are a good looking fiery Irish bloke, message me. Wink wink.

I thought I would be so busy this week but my cousin spoiled everything. Pshaw. I guess this is good for me. Next week I’ll be very busy though.

Finally watched “Corpse Bride” last night. I loved it! The film made me cry and as usual, Tim Burton never fails to impress me. It really is good stop motion animation so go watch it.

I know I’m kinda tight for cash but I couldn’t resist buying some new books last night. I bought “Love in Vain” (anthology of vampire erotica edited by Poppy Z. Brite. Yay!), “Milkweed” by Jerry Spinelli (Yay again!), “The Sybil in Her Grave” by Sarah Caudwell (couldn’t resist the Edward Gorey illustration), and “Firebird” by Susan Gates. I’m almost done reading the 2 volumes of Muriel Spark novels. I am loving her works but the current novel “The Abbess of Crewe” is quite dull. What a let-down. I think I will move on to the next novel because it was making me sleep.

Philmug blog is getting juicer than ever but I am disappointed with the anonymous comments. I received quite a number of shit for my comments but you get that. I just don’t like the others’ anonymity while I proudly display my identity there.

Nadisappoint ako sa Corpse Bride. The animation was amazing, as expected, pero I wasn’t satisfied with the “storytelling”. Tapos medyo nacornyhan pa ako dun sa ibang mga hirits. Pero the voice acting is pure love. Sobrang galing nila Johnny Depp at Helena Bonham Carter.XD

Really? Hmmm the plot is kinda corny but mas pansin ko yung animation so deadma na lang. Nakaka inlove yung itsura ni Victor. Yikes, I’m inlove with a clay doll. Ang ganda din ni Emaly (or Emily).

I was also sadly disappointed by the storyline in Corpse Bride, but still, Tim Burton is a GOD! On another note, Helena Bonham Carter was amazing (as a voice talent) in the Wallace & Gromit Movie :-)

I like Poppy Z. Brite ^^ I wish they’d sell more of her books here.

    Animae,

Tim Burton is a god indeed! I don’t want to watch Wallace & Gromit. They look ugly.

    Shabby,

I wish that too! It’s just so hard to find her books especially the new ones.
