Pencil Pushing

Thursday, March 9th, 2006

My goodness! I’m so fucking tired. I did a lot of pencil pushing the whole day and my brain has almost shut down. Ugh. Add to this is the fact that my eyes are stinging. I guess that’s due to fatigue as well. In spite of this, I am happy with the results. I was able to lessen the amount of money we need to start the business and I learned so much today. Good thing there was an accountant in mom’s office so he taught me stuff which confused me a great deal before. Now if only Phoebe would go online so I could tell her the good news.

Additional Thingamajig
Damn. I forgot to add this earlier so I’m doing so now. Jenny called me up this afternoon and said that Erwin is in town so she insisted that I be there. So I met up with them over coffee and it was nice except that I was so tired that I spaced out a lot of times. We just talked about what we have been doing and the UP CAST Alumni Homecoming this Friday which I’m not sure I’m going to attend. We also talked about Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition. Jenny couldn’t relate cos she hardly watches it but Erwin is into it and in his province, they get 24/7 for free. I don’t really care cos watching that show all the time would get boring. Both of us think that that Roxie girl is very maarte. I hope she gets booted out. Erwin, good to see you again. Don’t go back to Aklan anymore!

Stephanie over at Mystical Incense & More Blog gives a chance for her readers to have a tarot reading done for free. So I asked her last month I think, if the business my partner and me are putting up become profitable and successful. Coincidentally, on the morning of the presentation, Stephanie commented here and said that she did the reading for me and that it’s already posted on her blog. So I read the result immediately and was satisfied with it. This is her reading.

The Past: The card I drew for you symbolizing your past in regards to the question is the Six of Wands, or Victory. This card symbolizes success, clarity, a breakthrough, and a unification of energies. If we have sought long enough, a sudden break-through comes, and the unexpected victory is ours. We are filled with an exalted feeling of strength with aides us to victory on all levels we wish for.

The Present: The card showing the present is the Knight of Disks. This card shows a man (about your own age) with brown or dark hair and dark eyes. The disks being the financial suite, he is somehow related to the business. Funnily enough, this card also symbolizes a financial investment (which I realize is somewhat of a ‘duh’ when considering the question). The card shows though that this man’s advice should be taken when it comes to financial questions. He is a master at healing and health, but also a master of material abundance. His diagnostic ability can be applied to the body, and also other material realms: money, finance, capital. The final note of this card is this: if you make the effort, the harvest will reward you richly.

The Future: The card showing the future is the Chariot. This card symbolizes new beginnings, change for the good, introspection and spiritual path. This card generally refers to imminent new beginnings. It can point to a journey, or the start of some new phase of life. Nothing should be decided precipitously. Everything requires exact examination and preparation. But once all the groundwork is done, the new start should not be put off unneccesarily. Everything points toward favorable developments. Ready yourself, put your affairs in order, examine the possibilities. You will leave much behind.

In short, the cards suggest that when you went upon this business venture, you were REALLY psyched - happy beyond belief, and very very exicted about it. Currently, if I am correct in assuming that the Knight of Disks represents your business partner, you should listen to his advice in regards to finances. Additionally, right now it may be a whole lot of hard work, but if you put forth the effort, you will succeed. The future looks extremely bright for the outcome. It shows a major change coming in relation to the business, which seems like a growth or big success with it. This will alter your life dramatically and take you into a new phase of your life.

My partner isn’t male but I figured that the dark haired figure is my uncle. If you read my post yesterday, you’d know that the reading is very accurate. 3 of my uncles were present and all of them gave good business advice. Stephanie is really good! I’m impressed.

Cat Tails. Yay!

Tuesday, March 7th, 2006

I upgraded to premium on Cat Tails and I love it! I even designed my cattery page lay-out which I think looks really nice. You may find that boring but who the fuck cares? I don’t cos I love cat tails.

I felt so drained when I woke up. I dreamt that I was inside a burning hourse, my house I think. There were so many people there. Actually they were on a prayer vigil and they passed inside the house then moved on to the neighbor’s burning house. I remember feeling so astonished because none of them helped us put out the fire. I wonder if this dream means anything. It could possibly be caused by the tiring business presentation.

Today is the greatest day I’ve ever known

Monday, March 6th, 2006

Today has been an extraordinary day for me. Phoebe and I finally presented our business plan to our investors (my relatives) and it went well. Not perfect since this is our first time to do this and I have no business background but the audience thinks it was great. We need to make some changes but at least we can start setting up the business now. Yay! I wasn’t expecting it to go well. Now we have investors!!! So later, I will work on the business permits and other stuff. Told ya I’ll become busy!

Cat Tails

Sunday, March 5th, 2006

Sometimes I find myself too lazy to go online but since I have a couple of online pets to take care of, I log on. I’ve grown really fond of my cats and dogs and you could say sometimes I have too much free time on my hands (which will end really soon!). Anyway, if you’re like me and you love cats (or dogs), you might want to play Cat Tails (or Furry Paws). You will be given a certain amount of money to buy a pet, some things, and food. Like a real life pet, you have to take care of them everyday. You increase their levels and stats by entering them in competitions and there are special prizes for best in show and the like.

Lowdown

Saturday, March 4th, 2006

This is an article from Manila Standard and I want to share this with my fellow Filipinos.

LOWDOWN
Jojo Robles
Manila Standard March 3, 2006

From a reader, who refuses to be identified, comes this compelling e-mail.
It presents a fresh viewpoint on the current situation and deserves to see
print:

Dear Tita Cory, senators, congressmen, businessmen, media people, leftists,
and all bleeding hearts out there,

I am angry. And I know that there are many out there who are angrier than I
am for the same reason. And that reason is simple. I am sick and tired of
all you guys claiming to speak for me and many Filipinos.

I feel like screaming every time you mouth words about fighting for my
freedom and my rights, when you obviously are just thinking about yours. You
tell me that the essence of democracy is providing every citizen the right
to speak his or her mind and make his or her own informed judgments, but you
yourselves do not respect my silence and the choices I and many others have
made. In other words, your concept of democracy is limited to having your
rights and your freedoms respected, at the expense of ours.

I am utterly flabbergasted that you still do not get it: we already
responded to your calls, and our response has been very clear —we chose not
to heed your calls to go to Edsa or to Fort Bonifacio not because we do not
love our country or our freedoms or our rights, but precisely because we
love our country even more. Because quite frankly, we are prepared to lose
our freedoms and our rights just to move this country forward. You may think
that is not correct, you can tell me all the dire warnings about the evils
of authoritarian rule, but quite frankly all we see is your pathetic efforts
to prop up your cause. You tell me that you are simply protecting my
freedoms and my rights, but who told you to do that? I assure you that when
I feel that my rights and my freedoms are at a peril, I will stand up and
fight for them myself.

You tell us that GMA is not the right person to lead this country because
she has done immoral acts. As someone who sees immorality being committed
wantonly in many ways every day and by everyone (yes, including you), I may
have become jaded. But you have not been able to offer me any viable
alternative, while GMA has bent over backwards many times to accommodate you
while continuing to work hard despite all the obstacles and the brickbats
you have thrown her way. From where I sit, she is the one who has been
working really hard to move this country forward while all of you have been
so busy with one and only one thing: to make sure she does not succeed. So
forgive me if I do not want to join you in your moral pissing contest.
Forgive me if I have chosen to see things from another perspective.

State of Emergency Lifted

Saturday, March 4th, 2006

President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo finally lifted Proclamation number 1017 yesterday. However, some are skeptical about her action. Boo to them because I’m glad that it’s over. The president should now focus on improving the economic state of the country as well as aleviating poverty for good.

Where the hell did this come from?

Friday, March 3rd, 2006

I had the greatest dream last night. My family bought a really condo unit I don’t know where and it was soooooooo big. I remember seeing so many beds, more than 20 I think. There were 2 study rooms, a huge bathroom connected to the condo’s luxurious spa, a family room with 2 plasma tv’s (one was connected to a Sony PSP), and a room connected to the condo’s magical bookshop. I remember going to the bookshop and getting into a round platform with another kid and Harry Potter (lol). The platform began to spin then we slid down to the main store. The books were awesome and I was salivating over them. Another thing I remember from the dream are the elevators. Around 7 PM, it gets really busy in the building and it takes hours for the owners to reach their unit. Our’s was on the 10th floor and the elevator attendant said it will take 1 hour and 40 minutes to get there so it will be best if we go below the elevator. Apparently they have super huge elevators with many levels. So we did that and we found a casino there and a few classy restaurants. Other than what I mentioned, I don’t remember other details of the dream but I still love it! I was annoyed when my alarm went off. If I really lived in a place like that, I don’t think I will ever leave the building. I could spend hours and hours in the bookstore or the spa and it seemed that we were rich in the dream so money isn’t a problem.

Coup plot

Thursday, March 2nd, 2006

I’ll make this short because this blog is beginning to somehow sound like a politico blog.

I haven’t had the chance to read the article but according to reports, a Time magazine writer was invited during a meeting by alleged coup plotters. Do I believe this? I do and I don’t know why. Maybe I’m biased because this is someone who writes for Time magazine. Also, the people involved have track records for causing political instability. Peping Cojuanco for one. Sheesh. So yes, I believe this reporter but that doesn’t mean I support everything that PGMA did to squash this recent…um…discomfort.
