Ukay-Ukay Shopping
I ‘ve been browsing for bags on ebay.ph since last night and there are so many great bags there, mostly from ukay-ukay stores. A lot of the bags are cheap but there’s no way to tell if they’re authentic or in good condition based on the photos. I need a new black handbag since the one I am using has signs of wear and tear already. This is the black bag I bought from Bangkok. It cost me 1,000 Baht which is roughly 1,300 Philippine pesos. I love this bag but I wasn’t careful with it. I don’t take care of my belongings. So that’s why I need a new bag. I’m very picky when it comes to bags. There are probably a hundred black handbags in every mall in Metro Manila but I wouldn’t find one that I will like. Maybe it will be better for me to go to Ukay-Ukay stores so I can inspect the merchandise.
Yes, do be careful buying from eBay sellers. From my experience, most of them do not describe all the flaws of the bags, especially those ukay-ukay ones. Ask them to tell you all the flaws of the bag (if there’s a smell, scuffings, fading, loose stitchings, etc.) and if they offer money back guarantee in case it is not authentic. Some politely oblige if asked to provide more photos. Be careful with those cheap Prada and Chanel bags – most of them are being passed as “auth”/”aut”/authentic. Some of the ukay-ukay sellers honestly do not know that some of the bags they are selling are fakes but there are now many who are deliberately conning people.
Do you know any good ukay-ukays in Metro Manila? Just imagining how much profit these bag sellers are earning, sometimes I want to go to Baguio and start selling bags on eBay,ph, he he he.

May mga nakikita akong ukay-ukay pero konti pa lang napuntahan ko. I’ve been to Bambang and it’s ok. Sobrang init nga lang. Dati meron din isang store sa harap ng Broadway Centrum pero wala na sya. May napuntahan din ako sa Mandaluyong along Shaw. Forgot the name pero malapit sa Reyes Haircutters. Hindi masyado maganda. Dun sa crossing, sa kanto in front of Star Mall merong malaking ukay but i’ve never been there. Meron din daw sa Pasig sa may palengke. Madami ang ukay dito sa Metro Manila. I’ve been to Baguio ukays pero hindi na sya ganun kaganda. Tsaka mas mahal. The last time I’ve been there hindi ko na mahanap. Wala na sa dating building. Iniisip ko din mag ukay dito sa MM then sell on ebay.ph pero effort talaga. Hehe.
Siguro hindi na maganda sa Baguio kasi nauunang bumili iyong mga eBay sellers
. I think iyong mga Burberry Blue Label bags sa eBay.ph ay authentic. Pero sana tumawad ka. Dati di ako tumatawad kaya lang narealize ko after awhile malaki talaga patong nila and some sellers (those ukay ukay sellers) are happy to give you a discount.
Mas maganda siguro mag-ukay ng luxury bags then sell on eBay.com. Malaki ang kita.

Pinakita ko sa mom ko yung mga bags sa ebay and ang dami nyang gusto. Mga 5 ang bids nya then she one 1 Tommy na bag. Yung 4 pending pa. Gusto nga nya ulit tumingin tomorrow night eh. I forgot to mention, ingat din sa mga Liz Clairbone, Kathy Van Zeeland and Guess bags kasi maraming fakes na rin pala niyan sa eBay.ph. Here’s an eBay thread about it. Nagulat nga ako na pinepeke na rin pala ngayon iyan. May mga authentic sellers pa rin naman. Ask na lang the seller for verification.
And don’t bid on the 0 to 3 feedback bag sellers or iyong mga mukhang dubious iyong auction (lalo na iyong isang seller na nagbebenta ng Chanel bags, ilang beses na iyon gumawa ng iba’t ibang ids). Napansin ko lang ang daming sumulpot na scammer since last month.
If you need help authenticating LVs, Chanels, Prada tessuto bags…just post the url and maybe I can help authenticating. With Gucci medyo nahihirapan ako unless it is obvious (hindi kasi minsan sila consistent unlike LV). Hindi naman ako expert baka lang makatulong or at least point you to an authentication web guide

I think most of the Burberry Blue Label in eBay.ph are authentic. You can try to compare sa mga photos sa http://www.pisa.com.hk (meron din ibang brands duon).
I also like that brown V. Westwood bag! Kaya lang I stay away from that brand kasi I found some replicas of those bags nang nag-Google ako :-/. Tapos nabasa ko pa sa isang blog ng isang bag addict na marami siyang nakitang fake V. Westwood sa Baguio. Pero may nakikita ako minsang V. Westwood bowler’s bag sa eBay na gustong-gusto ko talaga if ever nabayaran ko na lahat ng dapat kung bayaran, ay reregaluhan ko sarili ko

I just won the Junko Shimada bag. Ok sya and I bet it’s authentic. Di ko din sya kilala pero ok lang. Hindi naman talaga ako very particular sa brand basta gusto ko yung itsura.
Sabi nung owner ng Dior bag, it’s authentic but just needs washing. Ang ganda sana pero ang mahal. Di ko na kukunin yun kahit type ko. Natakot naman ako bumili ng V. Westwood na. Sayang naman. Akala ko walang imitations yun. Parang ang hirap pa naman i-determine kung fake sya.
I’m betting on this Triple5Soul bag. Sobrang gusto ko!!! :heart: :heart: :heart: Sana wala nang ibang mag bet.
Nakakaasar na. Ang dami kong bags sa cabinet pero di ko naman ginagamit tapos ngayon bet ng bet pa ako. Baka mangyari nyan mabaon lang sa cabinet mga yan kasi nakakatamad mag change ng bag. I’m thinking of selling some of my bags nga e. I’ll try to sell them off here muna tapos kung walang kumagat, benta ko sa ebay.ph

It’s very lovely but 6 thousand pesos is still quite big! i think i would rather save the money for a DSLR
Don’t buy the Dior Boston bag it’s not worth the money. May darating pang ganyan in better condition. I asked the seller what are the flaws of the bag and she just said “mayroong konting gasgas sa sides”. Looking at the pics, it looks dingy. I asked again if it’s clean and she said “medyo marumi” and it needs washing. Di ba, hindi sinasabi lahat ng details :-/. Believe me, speaking from experience, you should never wash a Dior jacquard bag.

Hi! i’ve been to bambang a number of times and most of them dont know or not sure of what is authentic and fake bags… there are certainly some good buys if you are looking for jackets or shirts
