10 Things To Ponder for 2007

Wednesday, January 31st, 2007

10. Life is sexually transmitted.

9. Good health is merely the slowest rate at which one can die.

8. Men have two emotions: Hungry and Horny. If you see him without an erection, make him a sandwich.

7. Give a person a fish and you feed them for a day; teach a person to use the Internet and they won’t bother you for weeks.

6. Some people are like a slinky… not really good for anything, but you still can’t help but smile when you shove them down the stairs.

5. Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in the hospital dying of nothing.

4. All of us could take a lesson from the weather. It pays no attention to criticism.

3. Why does a slight tax increase cost you two hundred dollars, and a substantial tax cut saves you thirty cents?

2. In the 60’s, people took LSD to make the world weird. Now the world is weird and people take Prozac to make it normal.

AND THE NUMBER ONE THOUGHT FOR 2007:

We know exactly where one cow with mad-cow-disease is located among the millions and millions of cows in America, but we haven’t a clue as to where thousands of Illegal immigrants and Terrorists are located.
Maybe we should put the Department of Agriculture in charge of immigration.

What party?

Wednesday, January 31st, 2007

I’ve been so out of touch with the blogging world, I wasn’t even aware that there was a Philippine bloggers’ party. Not that I will attend…but I might. Who knows?!

Work has been keeping me busy. That and selling stuff on ebay and multiply. As for social life, it’s pretty non-existent except for a get-together I organized at home for the depression mailing list I’m in. Other than that, nothing because I spend my weekends sleeping all day. I don’t really mind but that means I have nothing interesting to write here.

Depressed Again

Tuesday, January 30th, 2007

I’ve been feeling depressed since last night. There were some triggers but I won’t discuss them here. I’ll just say that when I was about to sleep, I was thinking about my cat Aria. She was mad at me but it was only last night that she visited me again and rubbed against me. I miss her and I know I betrayed here when we got Vyolette. So I was thinking about that last night and how much I love Aria. Then I started crying. I got to thinking what if Aria dies? I would be so depressed. I love her very much. Also Vyolette. I don’t want them to die. Then I remembered that I read in a Pinoy forum about cremation and burial services for pets. I will definitely cremate them when they die so they will always be close to me.

Nuts.

I think I got to sleep very late because I was agitated. Perhaps it was already 3 am or 4.

I didn’t want to go to work when the maid woke me up this morning but I had some things to do so I went to work. I was very moody, depressed, irritable. I wasn’t nice to some of my clients. I felt really crummy so I decided to impulse buy.

ixus.jpg

A Canon Ixus 60. Bought it for P20,950. Installment basis for 12 months at 0% interest. Expensive but I like it and I can really use it.
After work, there was a family gathering. I had to go to mass but I didn’t pray.  I just sat there and thought about different things. Then we had dinner at the Fort. I began to relax and enjoyed my time with the relatives. Thank Goddess for them.

I’m selling these and many more. Just too lazy to upload here. Visit http://misseerie.multiply.com to see my stuff. For Philippine buyers only. Overseas shipping is too damn expensive and unreliable.

Injury, Nostalgia, and Obsession

Friday, January 26th, 2007

Nothing much to write about. I’ve been badly neglecting this blog. Tsk. I’ll try to write more often but nothing much is happening in my life. At least nothing interesting to write about.

Anyhoooo, I hurt my right arm last Monday so I was in pain for several days. I’m not sure what really caused it but I suspect it’s my ridiculously heavy bag. I bring it everywhere with me and it’s messy inside as hell. I’m not even sure what’s inside anymore. The contents as I recall:

  • Small Moleskine notebook (yeah, I’m pretentious)
  • Hairbrush
  • Long wallet heavy with coins, not paper bills
  • Small wallet (the Anna Sui I won from yahoo japan!) with emergency money and some credit cards
  • Benefit Glamourette
  • Parker pen for more pretention
  • A regular gel pen
  • Valda Pastilles
  • Bath & Body Works hand sanitizer
  • Foldable fan
  • Numerous lipsticks
  • Jim Thompson mirror I bought from my trip in Thailand
  • My small Nanette Lepore perfume
  • Small bottle of Tylenol
  • My cellphone
  • Anna Sui sunglasses with case

I think that’s it. Not much so much so I have no idea why it’s so heavy. My mom has more stuff in her bag but it’s not as heavy as mine. I’m sure it’s not the bag itself cos whatever bag I use regardless of material and weight, the whole thing is just heavier than normal.

My arm is kinda okay now after having it massaged by a professional masseuse but now my left arm is beginning to act up. Ugh.

I was watching tv last night, I think it was an E! Entertainment show, and it was mentioned that Heathers 2 is in the works. Hurray! I loved Heathers and I can’t wait for this sequel. According to Entertainment Wise, Christian Slater and Wynona Rider have already signed up for the movie. Also, the original director, Daniel Walters, is writing the script and might even direct it. Great. I just hope the film wouldn’t suck as most sequels do. I want to have a copy of Heathers DVD but I have too many DVDs here which I haven’t watched yet.

I’m selling a lot of cute stuff on my online shop. Right now I’m accepting pre-orders for the cell phone accessories. They’re all from Japan and oh so cute! The deadline is on February 10 for pre-orders. Visit the shop at http://misseerie.multiply.com and add me if you have Multiply. I know my price is expensive but shipping and customs will be a killer. BTW, my stuff are only for Philippine buyers only. Sorry, my online foreign friends. I’m still selling stuff on ebay.ph and the sales are pretty good. Nice hobby, eh?

Gloomy Bear

I’m pining for a Gloomy Bear plushie. I would even settle for knock-offs but of course, I prefer the original ones from Japan. Damn obsessions! I know that buying one is a waste of money but I love it! My friend used to sell knock-off plushies but his store has closed already. Too bad for me. Boo!

Shanghai

Monday, January 15th, 2007

Three best named clothes shops in Shanghai:

  • Really Cold – As Long As You Love Me
  • Like A Blackman Dancer
  • I Okay. I Show Bags

from Popbitch.com

I want to go to Shanghai. I met someone who has been to Shanghai and he said that when he was at the airport, a hawker approached him and told him he can sell him an ipod shuffle for $50. Curious, he asked the man if he can see the product. He thought it was the real thing until he saw the word “ipod suffle” printed on the box. lol
