The Dwarf just pardoned The Yak. I’m trying to laugh it off but I’ve really lost all respect for the administration. Goddess help the Filipinos because we are all doomed. Even Filipinos outside the country and living the golden life abroad.

I haven’t had any sleep yet so pardonne-moi if this entry lacks coherence.
I’m gonna get me some DSLR loving for mah birthday. I have enough for a brand new Canon 400D with kitlens but what I really want is a 40D or a Nikon D80. I read on some forums here that Nikon’s service center really sucks so that’s a major drawback. Otherwise, I would really get the D80 even if it’s over my budget. The 40D is the most expensive among the three but that’s what I really really want because it does well on low light situations. Too bad for me cos I can’t afford it unless I get more birthday money or people buy all the stuff I’m selling (plug: I’m having a sale! go visit my store and buy!) or rich sultan falls in love with me and showers me with money. I wonder how much my digicam would fetch if I sell it. I just bought it early this year.

I’m going to get myself a DSLR for my birthday but I don’t know what to get. Rain recommended Nikon D40 so I read up on it and fount out it has no exposure adjustments. I’m not planning to be one of those who keep on upgrading their cameras. I think being able to adjust exposures will matter in the far future. Unfortunately, my budget is 30K…hopefully I’ll find a good camera for less than that amount. Throw me your suggestions, my photography freak friends!

This blog won an award! I got a silver from the Golden Awards and got an “A” for the following criteria:
- visual appeal
- your site’s creativity or usability of content
- a visitor’s ease in navigation.
- a webmaster’s presence on his/her site
Well, I nominated myself but forget about that. Haha. This is the first time I won something for bury me in this dress. Anyway, try to check out the awesome site of Artistique Illustra. She’s a Filipina who makes wicked graphics I am envious of.

Here’s an update on the Hana Yori Dango movie.
“After two television series, the live-action adaptation of Yoko Kamio’s Hana Yori Dango (Boys Over Flowers) manga will end with the Hana Yori Dango: Final theatrical movie, which will screen in summer of 2008 in Japan.”
No more season 3
“The series stars Mao Inoue, Jun Matsumoto, Shota Matsuda, Shun Oguri, and Tsuyoshi Abe will all reprise their roles as Tsukushi, Tsukasa, Sojiro, Rui, and Akira, respectively. The movie will also feature special guest stars. The series’ chief director Yasuhara Ishii will start the two-month shoot in January and include overseas locations. Kamio is currently developing the story with the series scriptwriter, Mikio Satake (the penname of actor Takayuki Takuma).”
Guest star Ikuta Toma please! I wonder what the story will be. Anyway, read the entire article here.

I was just thinking how hard it is to be a talk show host. Not the ones in weekly talk shows like Boy Abunda. I’m talking about those with nightly shows like Jay Leno, David Letterman and Conan O’Brian. Accepting a job like that is true commitment.
They have to be there every weekday. Probably get to the studio early for rehearsals then make-up. I’m also guessing they are the ones who prepare the questions to ask the night’s guests. When there are plans to invite an author, they have to read the book. In Conan O’Brian’s case, he sometimes has sketches so he has to rehearse with the other actors.
Then there’s the show itself. They have to know how to carry an interesting conversation with the guests. If things get heated during an interview, they have to be cautious and pacify the guest. When animals are involved, they have to be game even when confronted with dangerous beasts.
I’m sure they get more than enough compensation for their work but these guys might somehow be neglecting their families because of their busy schedule. I’m sure they love what they’re doing. Hell, they can’t even have day-offs. If they’re sick, they still need to come in and do the show.
I don’t envy them at all but I do admire them. They make my reality go away every night.

Vixy.net is a very convenient FLV converter. It can convert as AVI, MOV, MP4 (for ipods or PSP), 3G, and MP3 (audio). It’s fast and very convenient.
Vixy.net didn’t pay me but I just really like their service even if it’s still in it’s beta stage. And sometimes you have to try several times because vixy can successfully convert the video. Well, it’s a free service so I can’t complain
