I’ve been hearing so many good things about this Japanese brand of chocolate but I’ve never tried it. I was tempted to buy from Kombini in Greenhills but for P600+ a small bar? It’s not as if I’m rolling in dough. Some richie purchased a franchise of Royce and is going to open a store in Powerplant Mall and I got their price list here.

Coraline, a children’s book written by Neil Gaiman, is being turned into a stop animation movie. I learned about the movie from Jungzx who plurked about it. I liked Coraline a lot. I even had Neil sign my copy when he was here. Anyway, I went to the Coraline website and got annoyed when it asked me to enter key codes to access the goodies. I googled for the key codes and I’m sharing it here for everyone’s convenience.
Enter the following key words:
stopmotion - the biggest smallest movie ever made
buttoneyes - cast
moustachio - short animation of a man’s mustache
armpithair - the hairs in the movie
puppetlove - Director Henry Selick talks about his love of puppets
sweaterxxs - the clothes of the puppets
I got the codes from this site. The film is going to be shown on February 2009. I’m not sure if it will be released in Philippine shores though.
Rejoice all ye Tim Burton and Johnny Depp fans! Tim Burton is currently filming his version of Alice in Wonderland and he cast his favorite actor to play the Mad Hatter. He also cast his muse Helena Bonham Carter and The Queen. Strange actor Crispin Glover will play the role of the Knave of Hearts. How exciting, isn’t it? I can’t wait to see the film!!!
I think Papa Johnny looks like a woman in the photo. Even more delicious ;)
I’m writing this entry in the hope of feeling better. I’ve been feeling depressed lately. Maybe it’s hormones or that my birthday is fast approaching. It could even be due to my biorhythm if it’s really true.
Whatever the cause, I want to snap out of this and be cheerful again. I don’t want to drive away my friends. Believe me, nobody wants to be around depressed people. I think months before I would let myself wallow in misery but I want to believe that I have changed. At least in this aspect. I’m still me. Still a drifter, passionless, directionless, a disappointment to my mother but at least there are changes somehow.
Since I brought up my birthday, I don’t feel like celebrating it since I’m in this mood. Think about it, you shell out a lot of money to feed friends who are (hopefully) happy that you are a part of their lives, but during the celebration, you are thinking 101 ways to kill yourself. It would be better if it’s the other way around, friends spending on you because you are still alive. Unfortunately, it isn’t like that in the Philippines. Bah! I’m hoping that my gloomy mood will lift soon and I will feel like celebrating my birth date.
I was browsing encyclopediadramatica.com the other night when I saw a banner to a web game called forumwarz. Curious me clicked on it and discovered a gem of a game for internet lowlifes and I’m now hooked. Even the intro to the game is hilarious! You get to choose from 5 lowlife stereotypes: camwhore, emo kid, troll, hacker, and permanoob.
I picked the camwhore. LOL. I don’t even like taking photos of myself! I want my friends to join the game so we can all be camwhores. Check out my profile if you want ;)
I’ve only seen the movie version of Hairspray (the one with Ricky Lake) and I enjoyed it a lot because it’s fun and size-positive. When I learned from Lorna that there’s going to be a stage production of Hairspray here, I became excited. Initially there were plans of getting International Size Acceptance Association Philippines (ISAAPH) as a sponsor of some sort but it didn’t push through because of lack of communication. Still, I and ISAAPH are rooting for the production. I encourage everyone to watch the musical because it is truly enjoyable. Read on the know more about Hairspray.

HAIRSPRAY is about Tracy who wins a spot on the local TV dance program The Corny Collins Show. The big girl with big hair and big dreams becomes a teen celebrity overnight. Based on the John Waters film, Hairspray is the winner of eight Tony awards including Best Musical. It was recently made into a hit film starring John Travolta, Michelle Pfeiffer and Queen Latifah.
It is directed by Bobby Garcia, choreography by Cecile Martinez, sets and costumes by Gino Gonzales, lighting design by Shoko Matsumoto and Musical Director Archie Castillo conducts FILharmoniKA. It runs from Nov. 14 to Dec. 7 at the Star Theatre, CCP Complex. Tickets are on sale now by calling Atlantis Productions at 892-7078, 840-1187 or Ticketworld at 891-9999.
I’m so happy with the result of the American election. I missed the speeches of Obama and McCain but I’ll catch the replays. Congratulations to my American friends who voted for Barrack. I’m there in spirit as they celebrate. I feel like joining the street party outside the White House but I’m in my third world country. Changes are sure to come. Imagine that, the first African American President. Just several years ago they were riding at the back of buses. I’m sure there are a lot who are dismayed, even angry, that they now have a black president. Some might even try to assassinate Obama. That is just stupid. Don’t they know that he cannot be PWNed?

he is awesome
See!
This is an ad campaign for McDonald’s Japan. It’s an old one actually. It was shown back in 2006 but I loved it and I demand that McDonald’s get rid of the old clown and use hunks instead. And the company should do this internationally
There’s a female version too.
