In search of creepy abandoned places

I want to organize a photography expedition group since I don’t want to visit such places alone. I want them creepy and I want them old.

Like this Sta. Ana building

Or Diplomat Hotel in Baguio

If you know any, please leave a comment.

PS
I don’t know whom to credit for the photos so if anybody knows, comment is open.

Urban spelunking is so freaking cool! I wanna try it out, too. An abandoned hospital (or sanatorium) or church or some old school building or something, would be fun to check out. Kaya nga lang, walang exciting, abandoned places to check out dito.

    Hi, Ms. Dementia. ;)

I live, literally, just a few steps away from this “Sta. Ana building” which was formerly, Trinity General Hospital. Yeah, it’s a really creepy place and it had always intrigued me to see what’s inside there. Didn’t have the chance to explore it, though. XD

It is no longer standing (not even its rubbles) since it’s now totally demolished to be replaced with a new hospital.

Speaking of creepy and old places, there’s this vintage-looking house near the “motel and lodge” district of Sta. Mesa, Manila which really reminds of that creepy mansion in Resident Evil 1.

    Good day! ^^,

Hey, if this group ever materializes, count me in! I’ve always wanted to take photos of old abandoned structures.

I was suddenly reminded of an old TV show called Verum Est when I saw the Diplomat Hotel photo (the place got featured in that program). And I think it’s rather an interesting place to visit. :)

My friend says there’s an abandoned building here in Valenzuela which they used for a YFC (Youth for Christ) meeting. It was supposed to be some sort of an initiation ceremony (the kind you have in the fraternities). But soon, they came in contact with an “uninvited guest”. Weird things happened after, transforming the ceremony into some sort of a séance instead. The organization members were haunted for weeks (after the incident).

I reckon this place would be an interesting subject for you. However, my friend wouldn’t reveal the details.

Hi Dementia. My aunt and uncle owns a creepy house in Balete Drive. It’s actually #13 Balete Drive. That house has been endlessly used in movies and commercials as it is a very old house. The Spirit Questors of Tony Perez had done some seances and practices there for the newbies… :]

I’d love to go, too! I’d probably try to resurrect my old camera just for this. And, P.s., Corregidor is spooky. Would have loved to get off the tour bus and just walk around. :P

  9. dementia says:

I want something like that Essex Sanatorium sana but nothing like that here nga.

  10. dementia says:

Thanks for informing me. Damn, it’s a shame it got torn down. Now I’m curious of the house you are talking about!

  11. dementia says:

Eek! That place in Valenzuela is ideal but I wouldn’t want any untoward incident to happen to our group. Thanks for the tip though, Demi!

  12. dementia says:

    Of course I won’t!

  13. dementia says:

Sige ba. May alam kang place? Baka pwede sa house ng friend mo sa New Manila!

  14. dementia says:

Do you think they will allow us to shoot there?
