I’ll go to this event with Yasu. I want to cosplay as NANA but I would look ridiculous. Details about the event can be found here.

I just got home an hour ago. I was out with Phoebe and we went to Serendra and Greenbelt.
Fully Booked in Bonifacio High Street is now open. However, it’s still it it’s soft opening stage so the books are a bit limited. I didn’t find any Graphics or Fashion trade books yet. Starbucks will have a small cafe inside the Fully Booked building. I wish it was Coffee Bean though.
Another new store in Bonifacio High Street is Philosophy which mostly sells nice tees for men.
When we got to Greenbelt a bit past 12AM, some of the restaurants have closed. We went to Bizu but their kitchen is already closed so all we can order are desserts. We didn’t feel like getting desserts there so we moved to Cafe Breton. I tried their Chicken Run sandwich and I really liked it. It’s relatively cheap. An order costs P125 and is filling enough for 1 person.
I like hangoung out with Phoebe because we get to talk about anything and everything. She’s a friend since my UP days. Tonight our topics ranged from metaphysics to Global Warming, high school friends to matters of the heart. Very refreshing. Conversations with her are a joy.
Feeling blah so I decided to update with photos.
Wednesday Night

FIP friends came over for karaoke and chika
Friday Night

I went out with Michelle and Jenny last Friday. First we went to Store For All Seasons where Nelz was having an exhibit. There were only a few people there. After the SFAS closed, we decided to head to Pablo in Cubao-X. Pablo is a gallery and they were letting anybody doodle on their walls. So we did that and it was kind of fun.
I was at High Street and Serendra earlier tonight with my relatives. We had dinner at Conti’s because my aunt said so many people were raving about the food there. We arrived early so there wasn’t a queue yet and we got a good table. I ordered their baked salmon, mom got roast beef, and my sister got chicken fingers and their crab salad. The food was okay for me but I don’t think it’s anything to rave about. The price is relatively cheaper than the other restos in Serendra but the portions are small. We ordered cakes afterwards: Sans Rival, Turtle Pie, Mango Bravo, and Dulce de Leche. Their sans rival was okay and so was dulce de leche. I didn’t like the other two though.
I guess Conti’s is okay if you want to save money but eat in a posh place like Serendra. I think their reputation is all hype though. I don’t think I would eat there again.
It’s Holy Week in the Philippines and most of the country is calm and quiet. Well that’s what I think because I’m stuck at home since the family decided to just stay here to avoid expenses since we’re saving up for a trip to Thailand this May. I don’t really mind staying at home since there’s always cable TV, internet, and DVDs for entertainment.
I invited some friends from the depression mailing list to an overnight stay in Fontana (Clark) but there were only 4 of us plus the driver. I had fun anyway. I loved the buffet dinner we had, our viewing of Nuovo Cinema Paradiso, and story telling until 6 am the next day. My friends went for a swim but I just slept. I prefer sleeping and I needed it. I think they had fun. At least I hope they did.
I still have fun during our classes in Fashion Institute of the Philippines. The teachers are great and very nice although they love to gossip about people in the industry. Scary. What would they say about me WHEN I become famous. Ha! Anyway, John gives us lots of homeworks so I have to do that during the vacation.
I need to make money. Lots of money. I want to buy stuff I can sell from Thailand. I’m selling some of my beloved books out of desperation. The price is quite high so I still haven’t sold a single book. Boo. How come the resale value of once-read books so low? Is it the same in other countries? I mean, I spent a lot of money for those books and they’re still in great condition. So how come there are no takers?!
Hmm it’s late. I was planning to watch DVDs but I’m sleepy now. Tsk.
I had a great time tonight with Jenny and my new friend Malaine. I invited them to come with me to today’s fashion shows because the owner of FIP gave me an invite to his fashion show and he told us to bring friends. We were at the Rockwell Tent a little after 3 pm which the invite said the show would start. Good thing it started late though. For the first show, we were given good seats. Four designers presented their works and I liked Shanon Pamaong’s designs (he’s the one who gave me the invite). The other designers’ works were okay. After that show, I asked my teacher (John Herrera) if I could watch his show. He said I could but the show would start at 7PM pa.
We had more than an hour to kill time so we went to Sugar House because I wanted to eat Turtle Pie. Unfortunately, they didn’t have it. Maybe they ran out. Whatever. Each of us ordered 3 cakes. I wasn’t able to finish mine because I didn’t like my cake much. Boo! After paying, we just window shopped since we didn’t have shopping money.
A little after 5:30, we went back to the tent and just took photos of ourselves while chit chatting. It was fun.
Before 7, we got good seats again but the place was packed. Other people had to stand during the fashion show. Lucky us. The night’s designers belong to the Young Designers Guild. I loved my teacher’s creations! He’s my idol now! Haaay. Brilliant guy. I think there were 13 designers but the whole show lasted for only 30 minutes if I’m not mistaken. It was so fast. But I am inspired again. I want to be invited to join YDG someday.
I want to join Fashion Week some day. I will really study hard and I will persevere.
I just came from a goth gig somewhere in Quezon City. I had nothing to do so I went. Couldn’t find a friend who wanted to go with me so I went alone. It was okay although I felt so alone around 1 am so I left. Everybody there was with friends and most knew one another. I only know 2 persons there and they were with some people so they only talked to me briefly. I wasn’t expecting them to hang out with me. I just want to make that clear. I’m wondering if I give off the vibes that I don’t want to meet new people. Ugh. I was hoping I would make some new friends but that didn’t happen. So after awhile I thought that I was just kidding myself and that the situation is so pathetic. Might as well leave before I really feel sorry for myself. So I did. And bought food from Mc Donald’s to console myself.
time to belt it out loud and be proud!
