I’ll go to this event with Yasu. I want to cosplay as NANA but I would look ridiculous.  Details about the event can be found here.

I just finished watching NANA movie and I’m so disappointed with it. After falling in love with the anime and the manga versions, I was expecting the movie to be really something. I have to applaud the production for making the actors look like their manga counterpart but I would rather they used actors who looked so different but can act well. Mika Nakamisha was deadpan all the time. I wish she had more expressions on her face. I wish they chose Anna Tsuchiya to play NANA instead. Ryuhei Matsuda…they could have used a better looking actor to play Ren. Aoi Miyazaki could have been perkier and funnier since Hachi is so hyper in the manga. The actors who played Yasu, Shouji, Sachiko, Takumi, Shin, and Junko were decent. Probably the actor I liked best is Hiroki Narimiya (he was also in the dorama Orange Days which I reviewed earlier). He’s the liveliest among the other actors and stayed true to Nobu’s character. *sigh* I really wish the live action was better. While watching it, I kept thinking that I wish the film was over. I haven’t seen NANA 2 yet but now I’m not looking forward to it anymore. Still, I’ll watch it. I just hope that the actors are more spirited this time.

I finally got my doll, an Amos doll from Dollmore. I picked him up from the EMS office in Pasay. I was so worried on the way there because of the customs horror stories I read. I had to wait for more than an hour before customs inspected him and it was so hot there. Their office burned down Tueday last week and luckily my Yasu got here Wednesday. Anyway, when it was my turn, the EMS guy told me that someone got a similar doll recently. I got worried because he might know how much the doll cost me but he was nice. He called the inspector who just declared the doll as a figurine. Lucky! He told me to pay 35 pesos. That’s it. To think that I was so worried about the taxes. Wahoo! It’s Eiga Sai once again and the line-up for this year is great! I’ll definitely watch Kamikaze Girls (Shimotsuma Monogatari). I have a copy of that but I want to see it on the big screen. I also have the DVD of Blue Spring but I might watch that during the festival too.

I want to buy Dollfies ball-jointed dolls instead of Pullips after I saw him.

He’s so dreamy! I want to have one badly! He’s a dollfie BJD made by Dollmore and he sells for $627. Too fucking expensive!!! He’s huge though. Around 73 cms.

Here’s another one I want.

He’s “Amos”. Not as cute as Kyle Reese but I think he’s so cool. A bit cheaper at $550 but still expensive. He’s shorter too, 62 cm in height.

I really want a dollfie BJD now. He’ll be my substitute boyfriend. Hmmp. I’ll save up for one. I need to save up before the month ends because Dollmore is offering free shipping but only for this month.
