bury me in this dress

My webhost screwed up big time last December 29. The server where my blog was hosted crashed and they were only able to revert my entries up to last Dec. 19. I only had backup up to Dec. 21 so all my entries after that date got lost. They are gone gone gone. I won’t dwell on it anymore but I hope that doesn’t happen again.

I wasn’t able to blog a standard “Merry Xmas Happy New Year” post so belated MERRY XMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR! 2007 was good to me, at least the latter part of the year. I was able to reconnect with old friends as well as gain new ones. I won’t assume that 2008 would be as good or even better for me so let’s just see how it goes.

I started the year with flu but it’s alright since I think what caused it mostly is my gimmicks almost every night. I spent New Year’s eve with my family at Shang Makati (like last year) but it was boring. I met a really interesting person though. He’s my uncle’s friend and he’s super rich. He’s also gay I think. He talked a lot and his stories fascinated me. The good thing about him is that even though he’s filthy rich, he doesn’t really brag about it. Well, at least not during my encounter with him. Anyway, I expect that things would go back to “normal” again and I wouldn’t be able to party like I did during the holidays.

BTW, the photo in this entry was taken by me. It’s so purrty.

I added Entrecard to my site panel in the hopes that this blog will have more traffic. Actually I don’t really care since this is a shitty blog.

Yay! I have a separate links page now. Big thanks to Joiz for helping me out and also to Shabby for her advice and the comment editor plugin.

I got myself a paid flickr account last October so I decided to fully utilize it by linking photos I’ve uploaded there to this blog. I’ve been procrastinating (it took me almost 2 months just to search for a plugin) and just tried several plugins tonight, most of which are kinda crappy. Then I tried this fucktastic plugin by tantan and went a bit apeshit. It’s awesome. Now I have a gallery inside my theme and there’s an option for a widget (check the side panel). I’m still using WP 2.1.3 and have no plans of upgrading anytime soon cos of possible plugin conflicts. I don’t know if the plugin will work with the latest release but I still recommend it.

Alright. I’m perfectly capable of making my own theme but I don’t want to be bothered right now so I’m willing to pay for one. I don’t know the going rate for themes but I’m going for the look of Artistique Ilustra’s blog but more appropriate for my domain name. I guess this involves some illustration work. If you know a capable artist or is one, please send me links to portfolios.

This blog won an award! I got a silver from the Golden Awards and got an “A” for the following criteria:
