First Paid Entry (Hopefully)

Wednesday, March 12th, 2008

My application to Pay Per Post finally got approved tonight. Like I said several entries ago, I need money for my Japan trip and also to pay off my terrible credit card debt. Ugh! I don’t even want to think about it. I really don’t want to be a sell-out but my income can only cover so much as of the moment.

I envy those professional bloggers who can actually buy something (and not just cheap items) from blogging. I don’t think it’s easy but some of them make it look so effortless. Hmm…actually even some non-pro bloggers I know have earned something from their blogs. If I’m not mistaken, LA has earned enough to buy an ipod touch (how much are those anyway?). If I generate enough money, there are my priorities:

  1. Pay off that goddamn credit card debt
  2. Save up for shopping money in Japan
  3. Save blogging money to buy another ball jointed doll and I want a female one this time.

Well, that’s it so far. I don’t want my list to be long because that might jinx everything. But yeah, Pay Per Post, I am counting on you!

Oops. I forgot this requisite link. blog ethics

Damnit! Am I even doing this correctly?!

SEO? Whut?

I am so behind the trends in the blogosphere (is this the correct term even?!). I just recently discovered what SEO means (Search Engine Optimization) but I honestly don’t know how that works. I also don’t care. I just know that SEO brings in the big bucks when it comes to blogging. There are so many blog owners who are earning some $$$ from their blogs. I still haven’t seen a single cent from THIS blog even though I have a paypal tin can and I add those stupid survey banners in some posts. Adsense didn’t work for me so I removed them. I am considering joining pay per post but I keep on having second thoughts since that would defeat the purpose of me having a personal journal of sorts. I do want to make monies. Lots of them. I just don’t want my blog to be so commercial and littered with ads.
