Today is his birthday! My gift for him is in the mail.

I took Yasu to a tea party organized by Ampao and her Events Planning classmates in Ateneo. It was somewhere in Balara, Quezon City. Quite hard to find but the venue was nicely decorated by the class. Only a few members of Manika Manila were able to attend but it was still fun. There were free food, mostly sweets and pastries. The class also took photos of the dolls. Actually I don’t understand the purpose of the event. Not my problem. At least there were lots of free food.

Yasu now has 3 close friends: Cahel, Kim, and Lev. He bonded with Kim and Lev when I went to Ricci’s house to restring, sand, put top coat on him, and have his nails painted black. I didn’t know how so I needed Ricci’s help. I had to leave Yasu with her for a week because I had to leave early. Ricci took care of the rest and while Yasu was there, he bonded with her dolls.

Yasu’s friends were there as well as some other dolls. Lev had to borrow some of Yasu’s clothes because he didn’t know it was a formal event. Yasu was reluctant but he lent them in the end since they’re friends now. Good for him. He’s not too selfish anymore.

I went with my family to Galleria and Powerplant malls and ended up spending again… just when I am trying to save money. Haaay. I bought small hoop earrings for Yasu (although I still haven’t drilled holes in his ears) and Paul Frank wellies at Anthem. The wellies were a bit expensive but I think it’s worth it. I’ve always wanted to buy galoshes and was tempted to buy from Plueys before but I was hesitant because I couldn’t fit them first. I have humongous feet and finding shoes which fit and look nice on my feet is terribly hard. I think it was good timing for me because the store only had 2 designs and both were size 9/10. After I tried the pink one I didn’t take it off anymore. I really love it even if most of my clothes would clash with the color. To hell with it! I’m tired of seeing really nice shoes which don’t fit!

Just a quick update.

I took Yasu to Ricci’s to have him modified. I just wanted black nail polish for him but we ended up washing him and sanding his body. So we had to disassemble him. He needed restringing anyway. I had to leave by 6pm and wasn’t able to finish washing and sanding him so I left him with Ricci and her doll Lev. I miss him but I’m sure he’s having fun bonding with Lev.

Oh yeah, Theresa was there with her doll Kim. She needed help with his restringing.

I haven’t posted any photos of Yasu recently so here they are.

I took Yasu to the Manika Manila Halloween EB so he could meet new friends but I think he was miserable. *sighs* Just check the photos at my flickr.
